第26章 Choru Fulfills His...(6)

“No! No! I want nothing, nothing. But, my Yocha horse, my Yocha horse!” Zhaotoin shouted and cried hoarsely.

“Ok, if I can cure your Yocha, will you lend it me?”

Zhaotoin stopped crying immediately, nodded and nodded:

“Subject to Choru’s order, if the Yocha horse can recover like before.”

“I need to transport some tea to the areas where the Han people live. I want to borrow your horse to carry the tea. What do you think?”

“Ok! Ok!” Zhaotoin had already forgotten the gold throne. He only hoped that the Yocha horse would be well again.

Choru raised the rein, and Yocha rose to its feet at once. Choru whispered to the Yocha horse. It became vigorous and energetic instead of being exhausted.

When Zhaotoin saw that the Yocha horse had already recovered, the flame of grabbing the gold throne was relignited in him. He pulled the rein and get on the horse, but Choru stopped him,

“Uncle, the Yocha horse only can walk back. If you want to grab the gold throne, the Yocha horse will never stand up.”

Although Zhaotoin would not take his defeat lying down, he could do nothing about it. He felt the strength of Choru again, and did not dare to act rashly. Since there was no hope for him to grab the gold throne, he should pay mor attention to his Yocha horse.

Choru went to the gold throne and stood there. He did not hurry to sit on it. He looked at the splendid throne up and down. Because of it, Zhaotoin had spent a lot of money to hold the horse race; because of it, the Heavenly horse also did not feel easy. Was it only a gold chair? No! It is a symbol of power, of wealth, of … Choru looked around, the sky was blue, the grass was green, the snow mountain was shining, and the rock stood there upright. All would be ruled by the man on the gold throne. Thinking of this, Choru sat on the throne peacefully and safely.

Suddenly some beautiful clouds appeared in the blue sky. Between the clouds and the sky were five Heavenly maidens riding a perfect rainbow and holding flaming arrows and carrying a beautiful treasure bowl. The Queen Mother of the West, Manta Natse, was carrying a quiver and a valuable mirror. Her sister-in-law, Gogya Garmo, who was carrying a bottle of precious minerals and who was looking after all the servants who were in charge of the King’s wardrobe, now appeared beside the throne.

Gyaingar Pebo, a Heavenly horse standing on the side of the throne, neighed three times. Suddenly, the ground shook like in an earthquake and split open. The mountains slid apart and the entrance to the treasure cave opened.

Machin Pmno, the fierce Deity of Gechog mountain, Dragon King Chona Rinchin and others presented tea to Chorus according to the custom. The senior monks, one holding a white helmet, another with a quiver made from tiger fur, another with a bow bag made from leopard fur and another with some underwear and a pair of boots, all surrounded Choru deferentially and helped him to dress up.

Machin Pamno took out a sharp sword; the Gechog Mountain deity a long sharp spear with which he had conquered his enemies; the Dragon King brought a long rope from the frog diety; Dorje Leba brought a sling that could carry a huge rock; Nyangpo Marbo brought a crystalline knife; and Gyachin Sinhale brought a fine axe.

With so much finery and so many treasures being used to dress up him, Choru immediately looked magnificent and had the appearance of a great general.

His elder brother Tungchon Garpo, younger brother Lungsho Waychon, younger sister Talay Waygar, sister-in-law Gogya Garmo all changed into boys with drums, conches, cymbals and flags. They played music to celebrate Chorus’ enthronement.

The people who came to watch the horse racing were astonished by the pomp. It was the first time for them to see and enjoy such beautiful songs and wonderful dancing. They felt like they were in a dream world.

Thus Choru was enthroned and replaced the former King of the State of Ling. He was given the title the World Lion King Gesar Lhopo Zhatui.

While the music was playing, the people and the deities congratulated Choru and prayed devoutly for his success and left as soon as they had finished. Immediately the people of Ling Garpo crowded around the golden throne and cheered the Lion King Gesar.

The Lion King Gesar rose to his feet and looked all around him at the delighted crowd. Thinking for a while, he said:
