“Sad Movies”讲述了现代年轻人们的爱情的一个侧面，是个悲剧的爱情故事。女主人公欲邀心上人共度时光，心上人却说“不得不工作”。拿我们现在一些人的话来说，这叫“加班”。一个很好的借口，真心爱你的人不会因你加班工作而责备你，只好自己忍耐寂寞。无奈，女主人公独自一人去了影院。影院！就在这个演电影以反映人生的场所，一幕幕戏剧性场面展开了：灯光渐暗，放映机开始工作，世界新闻刚要开始，世界舞台演出的场景尚未真正开始，近处人生的戏剧已开锣，人物登场亮相：女主人公的心上人，那个自称要加班的心上人与自己最要好的女友相拥而入。这是初惊，她难以相信，她醒着？还是在做梦？
第二节又讲述了进一步发展的剧情：女主人公就坐在那儿，他们却看不见。是灯太暗是视而不见？这后一种情况不一定对。但两人只顾注意对方、不注意周围人们，绝对是真的。更令人气恼的是：他们俩竟坐在女主人公前边的一排。这个影院不对号入座，正像这三人在他们的爱情中不对号入座一样？这一段人生戏剧的高潮是自己的心上人开始亲吻自己最好女友的双唇，见到这一场面，女主人公差点死去，彩色卡通刚演一半她就开始流泪。哭什么？哭自己恋人负心？哭自己引狼入室？哭自己无能？不管为何缘故而哭，这哭是伤心的。
高潮过后，女主人公决定还是悄悄地走开，又是独自一人，步伐缓慢、沉重，泪流满面，回到家中。在这个世界上，大概最擅长观察的便是母亲。母亲见女儿流泪，关心地问：“怎么了？”女儿也懂事，不让母亲为自己过于操心，为了不撒谎还是撒了谎：她只是说伤心的电影让她哭。是啊，面对这种伤心事，谁能不哭泣？悲伤的电影让我哭，让你哭，让每个人都哭。
“梦幻人生”，真是梦幻！人生中充满戏剧场面，难以预料，迂回曲折，如云如雾，难以细察。有些事中的真谛难辨。工作形势有突发转突变，感情生活更难预见。有时我们全身心投入，真情可见，却突然发现，一切努力均是徒劳，我们付出，却得不到回报。错，错，错。有人说只因身处庐山不识其面目，盲目的投入迷失了自我。实则另有原因，正如一位女士评论的那样，这样的结局，即“悲伤的电影”描述的结局在某种程度上是因为自己忽略的一些生活细节并因此改变了某些事情的发展方向及本质。这是一种比较客观并且较深刻的分析。
