Shen Qinglan became a court painter during the reign of Emperor Qianlong（1736.1795） and remained active in the reign of Emperor Jiaqing（after 1796）。 He was good at painting characters and horses. This painting， full of childish playfulness， exhibits the scene that six children play hide-and-seek game.
