Children and Two Palm Civets, a Southern Song Dynasty(1127?1279) round fan painting by an unknown author, 24.5cm×25.7cm.
It was previously believed to be a work of Zhou Wenju.
Zhou Wenju(about 937?997), a Southern Tang(937?975) painter, was good at drawing characters, beauties, carriages, pavilions and especiallyat describing life of children. His representative works include Children at Play and Ladies in the Palace. Playing Chess, his another work, is now in the collection of the Palace Museum, Beijing.
