Fishes Pierced by Bamboo Bars, a Yuan Dynasty(1279.1368) painting by an unknown author, ink and color on paper, 101.5cm× 49cm, in the collection of the Palace Museum, Taipei.

In the painting, seven carps are pierced by two bamboo bars, which symbolizes having a surplus year after year. Watching from different angles, these carps show varied postures. These vulgar objects turn vivid at the hand of the painter.
