As he heard this，the father was embarrassed by his earlier overreaction.
But when he opened it，he found it was empty and again his anger flared2.He yelled at her，stating，'Don't you know，young lady，when you give someone a present，there's supposed to be something inside the package！'
The little girl looked up at him with tears rolling from her eyes and said：'Oh，Daddy，it's not empty at all.''I blow kisses into the box .they are all for you，Daddy.'
The father was crushed3.He fell on his knees and put his arms around his precious little girl.He begged for her forgiveness.
An accident took the life of the child only a short time later.It is also told that the father kept that little gold box by his bed for many years of his life.Whenever he was discouraged or faced difficult problems he would open the box，take out an imaginary kiss，and remember the love of this beautiful child who had put it there.
In a very real sense，each one of us，as human beings has been given a golden box filled with unconditional love and kisses from our children，family members，friends and God.
There is simply no other possession，anyone could hold，more precious than this.
这个故事说的是从前，有一位父亲惩罚了自己5岁的女儿，因为她用光了家里仅有的一卷昂贵的金箔包装纸。当时家里经济比较拮据。圣诞节前夜，当父亲看到了圣诞树下的一个鞋盒，女儿竟然把金箔纸贴在了这个鞋盒上做装饰时，他简直怒气冲天。
然而，第二天，圣诞节的早上，小女孩满是兴奋得把这个圣诞礼盒拿到了父亲面前，说到：“爸爸，这个是送给你的！”
当父亲听到那是女儿送给他的礼物时，他为自己前一天晚上的过激反应而感到羞愧难当。
但是当他打开盒子后，发现里面什么都没装时，他的怒火再次爆发了。他对着女儿大喊到：“你难道不知道吗，小丫头，当你送别人礼物时，盒子里面应该放东西进去的！”
小女孩抬起脸看着他，泪水在她的眼眶中打转，她解释道：“哦，不，爸爸，那不是个空盒子。我放了好多好多个亲吻进去，这都是给你的。”
男人顿时惊呆了。他跪下双膝，双臂环抱着自己珍爱的小女孩，祈求她的原谅。
之后不久，一场事故夺走了小女孩的生命。据说，父亲一直将那个小金盒子放在自己床头，陪伴着他度过了许多年。每当感到心情沮丧或者遇到难题时，他就会打开礼盒，取出一个想象中的亲吻，想念着那个将吻吹进了盒子的女儿给予自己的爱。
