Park Guell
In 1900， Earl Guell commissioned Gaudi to design a middle-class suburban residential area. The location was in the northern outskirts of Barcelona. The plans did not be realized， but a park was built instead. The park is just Park Guell.
Gaudi designed the two buildings for the guard and the office at the entrance of the park. Into the park， there is a big step of a unique shape， and then a great hypostyle hall， and the theater of ancient Greek-style is behind it. The big step continues to lead the people onto the platform of the roof of the great hypostyle hall. The platform is broad， about thirty meters in width and depth. It is a good place for resting， gathering， walking and dancing.
The buildings in Park Guell are representative of Gaudi"s creative career. The strange small towers， the regular columns， and the winding patterns， express fully his aesthetic ideas.
Columbus Monument
The Columbus monument stands highly on the main pedestrian street at the end of Rambla Street， to commemorate the navigator who discovered America. To some extent， this discovery opened a Spanish colonial rule in South America. Now a large number of South American immigrants speak in Spanish and come here to open another reincarnation of the history.

公园入口处有高迪设计的门卫和办公用的两层小楼。进园之后，一条造型别致的大台阶把人引向一个多柱大厅，大厅后面接着古希腊式的剧场。大台阶又继续把人引上多柱大厅上的屋顶平台。平台广阔，宽深各约三十多米，周围有矮墙和坐椅，是游人游憩、聚会、散步和跳舞的好去处。
奎尔公园中的建筑是高迪创作生涯成熟时期的代表作，怪异的小塔和规整的柱子以及蜿蜒曲折的图案，完全充分地表现了他的美学思想。
哥伦布塔
哥伦布纪念塔高高耸立在最主要的步行街兰布拉大街的尽头，纪念这位发现美洲大陆的航海家。从某种程度来说，这一发现拉开了西班牙对南美殖民统治的开始，如今，大批的南美移民讲着西班牙语又来到这里，开始了又一个历史的轮回。
