Standard:

All messages, faxes and mail must be delivered to guestswithout delay.

Procedures:

1. The Guest service Agent must verify the room numberand the guest's name before taking the message.

2. The message must be noted down directly in thecomputer. The message must then be repeated to the caller toensure that it has been correctly received.

3. The message light must be activated to indicate that amessage is on hold.

4. Should the guest request the message to be relayed byphone, the Guest Service Agent will do so. An offer must still bemade to print the message and deliver it to the guest's room.

5. When the message has been relayed and/or printed forthe guest, the message light must be turned off.

6. Messages for guest due to arrive must be indicated inthe computer, to notify the GSA when the guest checks in.
