How to Find a Taxi Cab

A taxi cab is a passenger vehicle that has been licensed for commercial operation.Taxicabs use a meter to determine the fare and charge according to distance traveled,time spent on the ride or a combination of both.For example,if a taxicab cannot move due to heavy traffic,you would not be charged for distance,but instead the meter calculates the time the taxicab idles waiting for the traffic to clear.In addition,you may be charged extra fees for luggage and for starting the ride at a major transportation hub.

Instructions

1.Call a taxicab company.

2.Go to a taxi stand,which may be marked by a signpost bearing the word“Taxi,”or with the word“Taxi”painted on the pavement.

3.Go to a busy intersection and hail a cab.

4.Go to the arrivals area of any transportation hub,including airports,bus stations and ferry terminals.

5.Go to a big or busy hotel.
