22:1___Some_time_later_God_tested_Abraham。_He_said_to_him，_“Abraham!“_“Here_I_am，“_he_replied。
过了一段时间，上帝要考验亚伯拉罕的虔诚，便呼唤他：“亚伯拉罕！”
亚伯拉罕回应：“仆人在此。”
22:2___Then_God_said，_“Take_your_son，_your_only_son，_Isaac，_whom_you_love，_and_go_to_the_region_of_Moriah。_Sacrifice_him_there_as_a_burnt_offering_on_one_of_the_mountains_I_will_tell_you_about。“
上帝说：“带上你的儿子，就是你如今唯一的儿子，你最钟爱的以撒，按照我的指引，去到摩利亚的山上，将他燔祭于我。”
22:3___Early_the_next_morning_Abraham_got_up_and_saddled_his_donkey。_He_took_with_him_two_of_his_servants_and_his_son_Isaac。_When_he_had_cut_enough_wood_for_the_burnt_offering，_he_set_out_for_the_place_God_had_told_him_about。
第二天清早，亚伯拉罕用驴子背负了燔祭用的木柴，带着两个仆人和儿子以撒，前往上帝指引之地。
22:4___On_the_third_day_Abraham_looked_up_and_saw_the_place_in_the_distance。
到了第三天，亚伯拉罕远远看见那指引之地。
22:5___He_said_to_his_servants，_“Stay_here_with_the_donkey_while_I_and_the_boy_go_over_there。_We_will_worship_and_then_we_will_come_back_to_you。“
他对两个仆人说：“你们留在这里，看守着驴子。我和以撒祭拜后，就会返回。”
22:6___Abraham_took_the_wood_for_the_burnt_offering_and_placed_it_on_his_son_Isaac，_and_he_himself_carried_the_fire_and_the_knife。_As_the_two_of_them_went_on_together，
亚伯拉罕让以撒背负燔祭用的木柴，自己拿着火和刀，一起前往指引之地。
22:7___Isaac_spoke_up_and_said_to_his_father_Abraham，_“Father?“_“Yes，_my_son?“_Abraham_replied。_“The_fire_and_wood_are_here，“_Isaac_said，_“but_where_is_the_lamb_for_the_burnt_offering?“
以撒很疑惑的问：“父亲？”
亚伯拉罕说：“何事，我的儿子？”
以撒说：“燔祭用的火和木柴，我们都准备好了，但是献祭的羊羔在哪里？”
22:8___Abraham_answered，_“God_himself_will_provide_the_lamb_for_the_burnt_offering，_my_son。“_And_the_two_of_them_went_on_together。
亚伯拉罕说：“我的儿子，上帝已经安排好献祭的羊羔了。”
两人就继续前行。
22:9___When_they_reached_the_place_God_had_told_him_about，_Abraham_built_an_altar_there_and_arranged_the_wood_on_it。_He_bound_his_son_Isaac_and_laid_him_on_the_altar，_on_top_of_the_wood。
来到指引之地，亚伯拉罕筑了一个祭坛，将燔祭用的木柴排布在祭坛上。
然后，他把儿子以撒捆绑起来，架放在木柴之上。
22:10__Then_he_reached_out_his_hand_and_took_the_knife_to_slay_his_son。
接着，亚伯拉罕举起了刀，要杀了他的儿子。
22:11__But_the_angel_of_the_LORD_called_out_to_him_from_heaven，_“Abraham!_Abraham!“_“Here_I_am，“_he_replied。
便在此时，那早就得到耶和华旨意的天使，在天上呼唤他：“亚伯拉罕！亚伯拉罕！”
亚伯拉罕回应：“仆人在此。”
22:12__“Do_not_lay_a_hand_on_the_boy，“_he_said。_“Do_not_do_anything_to_him。_Now_I_know_that_you_fear_God，_because_you_have_not_withheld_from_me_your_son，_your_only_son。“
那天使说：“你放开那孩子，你不可伤害那孩子。你对上帝的虔诚我已明了，你奉献独生爱子的诚意，我亦已感受到了。”
22:13__Abraham_looked_up_and_there_in_a_thicket_he_saw_a_ram_caught_by_its_horns。_He_went_over_and_took_the_ram_and_sacrificed_it_as_a_burnt_offering_instead_of_his_son。
这时，亚伯拉罕在灌木丛中看到一只公羊，公羊的两只长角被枝藤缠绕着，动弹不得。
他就用那公羊代替儿子，献于祭坛上焚烧。
22:14__So_Abraham_called_that_place_The_LORD_Will_Provide。_And_to_this_day_it_is_said，_“On_the_mountain_of_the_LORD_it_will_be_provided。“
后来，亚伯拉罕称这指引之地为“耶和华以勒”（希伯来语：上帝早已预备好或上主会看顾）。
时至今日，人们还在流传：“在那山上，耶和华已经安排好你所希祈的事物。”
22:15__The_angel_of_the_LORD_called_to_Abraham_from_heaven_a_second_time
那耶和华的天使，在天上再对亚伯拉罕说，
22:16__and_said，_“I_swear_by_myself，_declares_the_LORD，_that_because_you_have_done_this_and_have_not_withheld_your_son，_your_only_son，
那天使说：“你既然严格遵行了上帝的吩咐，连自己独生爱子都可奉献给上帝，我便在此立誓，”
22:17__I_will_surely_bless_you_and_make_your_descendants_as_numerous_as_the_stars_in_the_sky_and_as_the_sand_on_the_seashore。_Your_descendants_will_take_possession_of_the_cities_of_their_enemies，
“我会赐福于你，使你的子孙后裔繁盛无比，就如天上的星星、海滩上的沙子一般，数量多得不可胜数。”
“你的子孙后裔，也必能打败他们的敌人。”
22:18__and_through_your_offspring_all_nations_on_earth_will_be_blessed，_because_you_have_obeyed_me。“
“生活在大地上的人类，将因你的后裔而得幸福。”
“这一切，都源自于你的虔诚。”
22:19__Then_Abraham_returned_to_his_servants，_and_they_set_off_together_for_Beersheba。_And_Abraham_stayed_in_Beersheba。
燔祭过后，亚伯拉罕带着儿子和两个仆人，一同返回了别是巴。
那时候，亚伯拉罕已移居到别是巴。
22:20__Some_time_later_Abraham_was_told，_“Milcah_is_also_a_mother;_she_has_borne_sons_to_your_brother_Nahor:
过了不久，亚伯拉罕得到了消息——他的兄弟拿鹤，已经养育出好些子孙。
22:21__Uz_the_firstborn，_Buz_his_brother，_Kemuel_(the_father_of_Aram)，
拿鹤的妻子密迦，一共生下了八个儿子：长子是乌斯，然后是布斯、基母利（基母利后来生下儿子亚兰）、
22:22__Kesed，_Hazo，_Pildash，_Jidlaph_and_Bethuel。“
基薛，_哈琐，__必达，__益拉___和__彼土利。
22:23__Bethuel_became_the_father_of_Rebekah。_Milcah_bore_these_eight_sons_to_Abraham＇s_brother_Nahor。
其中，彼土利又生下了女儿利百加。
22:24__His_concubine，_whose_name_was_Reumah，_also_had_sons:_Tebah，_Gaham，_Tahash_and_Maacah。
拿鹤的第二个妻子，名叫流玛。
她也生下四个儿子，分别是：提八、迦含、他辖和玛迦。
