第47章 Boat under Newly Rising Moon-Anonymous

Boat under Newly Rising Moon, a Yuan Dynasty(1279.1368) painting by an unknown author, ink and color on paper, 23.5cm×67cm, in the collection of the Liaoning Provincial Museum, Shenyang.

It depicts the night scene in a lotus pond. At the bank of the quiet lotus pond fly thin willow twigs. Pieces of lotus leaves and a boat float in the water. A person stands at the fore of the boat, looking at the newly rising moon over the horizon. The painting exhibits a quiet and elegant artistic atmosphere, and delicate brushwork. It was once preserved in the imperial palace of the Qing Dynasty, which can be proved by the poem written by Emperor Qianlong on it.
