Chat in a Riverside Pavilion， a Ming Dynasty（1368. 1644） painting by Wen Zhengming， ink and color on paper， 64.5cm×33.1cm， in the collection of the Palace Museum， Taipei.
It is a typical landscape painting by “Wumen school of painting.” Two hermits sit leisurely in a thatched pavilion at the side of brook and have a chat. Around them is the tranquil and elegant environment： beautiful mountains and waters， and exuberant vegetations. It has a precise composition， light and elegant colors， and delicate brushwork.
