Imperial Concubine Saves Emperor from Black Bear, a Qing Dynasty(1644.1911) painting by Jin Tingbiao, ink and color on paper, 150cm×75cm, in the collection of the Palace Museum, Beijing.

Jin Tingbiao, a court painter in the Qing Dynasty, did well in painting characters, landscapes and flowers. This painting is based on a historical story that a Feng-surnamed imperial concubine saves Emperor Yuandi of the Han Dynasty from black bear. It is usually used as a visual material to educate princes and imperial concubines. Judged from its neat style, it can be known a drawing by court painters. There is a poem inscription of a Qing emperor.
