这种疼真好？蚊子叮的疼
Pleasant is the pain of the mosquito bite
毒虫咬的疼？带刺的非洲刺槐
And the pain of insect bite，African black locust
深深刺入的疼？现在我就辗转在
The pain of piercing，Now I am tossing and turning
一个叫霍拉的丛林里？霍拉？
In a jungle named Hola，
按土著语的直译？
According to the literal translation of aboriginal language，Hola
就是有野兽出没的地方
Means the place haunted by beasts
这里是连季节都十分狂野的非洲
This is the Africa with seasons wild
黑人所说的野兽？当然不是那些
The beasts talked about by black people are surely not those
只吃草不吃荤的偶蹄类动物
Cloven hooves feeding only on grass but not meat
黑人所说的野兽？定是那些
The beasts talked about by black people are those
或威风凛凛的巨狮？或快如闪电的猎豹
Jovian giant lions or swift cheetah
就连那一步三晃？你怎么都看不出

The king of the water，catfish
我是说生长在黑非洲河水中的鲶鱼
I mean the catfish that grows in the rivers of Africa
体大如牛如出生三月的野牛犊
Big as ox born in March，as a wild ox
背也是黑色的？皮肤也是黑色的
Black back and black skin
长长的6条须子？比龙须短不了多少
Six long palpus as long as that of a dragon’s
须透明？可以把河边的人影装进去
The transparent palpus could reflect the image of people on the river’s bank
这时你站在河边？你的影
Now you are on the bank of the river，and your image
正好躲在鲶鱼透明的胡须里
Is hiding in the long palpus of the catfish
一晃一晃的？向你做鬼脸儿
Swaying to make a face at you
这时是雨季？黑非洲的雨
This is the rainy season，the rain of black Africa
云从西印度洋上空搬过来的淡水

瓢泼一样？一阵又一阵倾泻下来
