白色的诗歌用沙粒堆成
The white poem is piled with sand
一粒？两粒？三粒
One grain，two grains and three
我和我的朋友远道而来
My friend and me come afar
不同肤色的朋友
Different kinds of skin color
远渡重洋？为的是目睹
Come across a vast ocean to see
传说中？已经诗化了的
The white sand beach which is poeticized
白沙滩
According to legend
白？比结晶的盐
Twice as white as
还要白上两倍吧
The crystallized salt
我们不妨把它叫做冷白
We might as well call it cold white
西印度洋边的沙滩就是这样
The sand beach of the West Indian Ocean
冷白而俊美？
Is like this，cold and beautiful
以白为底色的诗的原素
The element of poem having white as grounding
随时都可能凝结成诗
will freeze into a poem at any time
这一切的到来
The coming of all this
只是要凭您的感觉
Depends on your feelings
明天就是平安夜了
Tomorrow will be Silent Night
穿红袍的圣诞老人
Santa Claus in his red robe
怀揣神秘的新年礼物
Holding secret New Year’s present
穿越在许多穷人和富人的梦中
Shuttling in the dreams of many a poor and rich person
我看见一？二只飞鸟尤如标点
I see one or two birds as punctuation
蹲在白色的沙滩上欲飞不忍
Squatting in the white sand beach flying or not
鸟动一下？沙滩动一下
A move of the bird，and a move of the beach
我眼中白色的诗歌
The white poem in my eyes
就变化一下行数
will change the number of its lines
今夜无眠？人？
Sleepless tonight，man
是我笔下的？这首诗歌的
Is the dash of the poem written by me
感叹号？月光下散步的人
The man walks in the moonlight
每出现一次？这首诗
With his each appearance，this poem
自然就形成了一个
Will form a new
新的段落？白人有白人的内容
Paragraph naturally，white people with white content
黑人有黑人的内容
Black people with black content
印巴人有印巴人的内容
And Indian-Pakistani with their content as well
我是黄皮肤的中国人
I’m a yellow-skinned Chinese
瓷的质感和瓷性的美？是中国人
The nature and beauty of china is Chinese
变成外国人？？在外国人眼中
Becoming a foreigner in the eyes of foreigners
不断出现的疑惑？我的出现
The suspecting emerges constantly，and my turning up
当然要将这首诗？带入另一种意境
Of course will bring this poem into another artistic concept
我赤裸着身子？平躺在沙滩上
I am lying naked on the beach
形成了一个？具有中国特色的
Forming a dash with Chinese characteristics
破折号？金灿灿的月光下？
In the golden glittering moonlight
这闪着金光的一横上的高光？
The light above this dash
让所有站着的人？都头晕目眩
Dazzles all the people standing
只能？眯缝着一只眼睛
They can only read
来读？我这首
With half-closed eyes
横看如山
This mountain like one in horizontal view

Statue 47：Wish to Ride Equator Going Home
——遥致南京诗人黄梵
To the poet Huang Fan in Nan Jing
现在我就骑着赤道
Now I’m riding the Equator
我叉开双腿
I open my legs
赤道就夹在我的两腿之间
The Equator is between my legs
抬头？向前看
To raise my head to look forward
那里是东
That is oriental
回头？向后看
Look back，that is
那里是西
Occidental
就这样？赤道象一匹马
In this manner，the Equator is like a horse
被我骑在胯下
Under my legs
我的左脚踏着叫南方的土地
I have my left foot on the land of South
我的右脚则踏着叫北方的土地
I have my right foot on the land of North
我用力一夹
I squeeze it with two legs
赤道自西向东走几步
The equator will take several steps from west to east
我一勒缰绳？赤道又自西向东走几步
I rein in，and the equator will walk from east to west
我很想骑着赤道往东北走
I really want to ride the Equator northeast
但赤道却拖着笨重的身子
But the Equator with my heavy body
转不过弯？现在我身旁的黑人朋友
Cannot make a turn，now the black friends around me
给我端来半盆水
Fetch me half a basin of water
尔后又在水上放了一片纸
Then put a paper in it
黑人朋友说？想家了吧？朋友
My black friend says to me，do you miss your home，my friend？
想去北方其实很简单
Indeed it’s easy to go to North
现在盆里的这片纸
The paper in the basin
是顺时针方向旋转的
Is turning clockwise
我把盆放在你的右侧
If I put the basin in your right side
盆里的纸？就会逆时针旋转
The paper in the basin would turn counter clockwise
现在我们不妨把这片
Now we may put this
（能够正反旋转的纸
Turning clockwise or counter clockwise
看作是您回家的船）
As the boat taking you home
这里是东非而不是西亚
This is East Africa rather than West Asia
您想回家？不能骑马
If you want to go home，you cannot ride a horse
只能乘船
But should take a boat

——真想和《杨子江》主编徐明德先生聊聊
I really want to chat with the chief editor of Yangtze River
——史料记载，600年前，明朝使节郑和率领的大型船队从扬州出发，出太平洋，入印度洋南下，远赴欧洲，其中，有一只船队，因遇风浪，沉没在印度洋边靠近拉姆附近的海域，留下一只”唐人”的后裔，一直在拉姆生活到今天……
According to historical records，600years ago Zheng He，the envoy of Ming Dynasty，led a large fleet from Yangzhou City to go to Europe through the Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean.One team of the fleet was sunk near Lamu Island in Indian Ocean due to storms，leaving behind the descendents of the Chinese sailors there living to this day.
夜宿拉姆岛？总有一种
Sleep in Lamu Island，there is always
游魂敲门的感觉
A feeling that a haunting ghost is knocking the door
