开诚布公的说
To be frank and sincere，
在见到刘不伟之前
supposing that I hadn’t met Liu，
就象直到今天
just as up to now
我都没见过刘春天一样
I haven’t met Liu’s daughter Spring
我没见过拆那
or haven’t met China，
拆那是谁
before having seen Liu，
是一个人还是一件事
it never occurred to me
或是一个别的什么事物
who “China”is -
在见到刘不伟之前
is it a person or a matter
我想都没想过
or is it something else？
那天老巢有点代人受过的对我说
One day Old Den，carrying the can，said to me：
不伟忙着摄像来不及看您
“Liu is so busy shooting pictures that he can’t spare
让我给您带个好
time to visit you，so he asks me to bring his greetings for you.”
我自作聪明的把老巢说的不伟
I fancied myself clever and interpreted Liu’s name
望文生义的理解成了不为
without real understanding，teasing with Old Den
我还半开完笑的和老巢调侃
with a half mocking tone that：
有所为就要有所不为嘛
“when one is active in one thing，he will be inactive in something else.
不为不来看我说明他正有所为
that Liu didn’t visit me today just means that he is active in something.”
今天想起这不大不小的玩笑
now thinking of this very joke
我还汗颜
I still feel deeply ashamed.
在我看来
As for me，
拆那是刘不伟的另一个孩子
China is another child of Liu’s，
一定是和刘春天一起手拉着手
who must have grown up together
在内蒙古大草原上奔跑着
with Liu’s daughter Spring.
追赶着一蹦一跳的沙蹦鸡长大的
They two，hand in hand，chased after
刘不伟的另一个孩子
the hopping sand grouse on the wild Prairie.
只是拆那被刘不伟带到了北京
But Liu took China with him to Beijing
而刘春天被刘不伟
while he left his dear daughter Spring
留在了内蒙古的大草原上
on the Inner Mongolian Prairie.
所以每当拆那不省心
So every time that Liu burst into a fury
惹得刘不伟火冒三丈时
as China becomes a headache for him，
刘不伟就会自然而然的想起
very naturally，Liu will miss Spring，
刘春天？一想起比自己的心尖儿
who is dearer than his own dear heart.
还要心尖儿的刘春天
The very thought of her
刘不伟的心就疼
makes Liu’s heart ache.
因为刘春天一直是刘不伟
As Spring is the most satisfied poem
在内蒙古大草原创作的
that Liu has ever created
最得意的一首诗
on the Inner Mongolia Prairie.
而拆那和刘春天相比起来
compared with Spring，Liu
真的要让人操心的多得多
has to take far more pains to care about China.
二十年前
Twenty years ago，
你玩玩具枪
you played with toy guns
你玩玩具刀
played with toy knives，
你玩玩具娃娃
played with toy dolls
你玩玩具万花筒
and played with kaleidoscopes.
二十年后
now after twenty years have passed，
你玩手机
you are playing with a mobile phone，
你玩电脑
playing with a computer，
你玩男人
and you are fooling with men
你玩女人
and dallying with women，
你玩人
anyway，you learn to play with humans.
。。。。。。
这就是拆那
These are the things that China said when
就是拆那和刘不伟顶牛时
he was at loggerheads with Liu.
对刘不伟的大大不敬
You see，China is so offensive towards Liu.
你说刘不伟生不生气
and you can imagine how angry Liu was at that moment.
刘春天
“come，Spring，”Liu said to himself，
我亲爱的女儿
“my beloved daughter，
来亲一个
come and give me a big kiss.”
爸爸一离开呼和浩特
since I left our hometown，
你就嘟嘟想爸爸想爸爸
you have been mumbling：“I am missing daddy，
鼻子也想
I am missing daddy.”So are you little nose，
眼睛也想
so are your starry eyes，
耳朵也想
so are your cute ears
肚肚里也想
and so are your tummy.
宝
Oh，my baby，
虽然妈妈手机里有爸爸
though there is a daddy in your mummy’s mobile，
你也不能总用舌头去舔呀
you can’t always lick me with your tongue
吧叽吧叽的
on the mobile，making a loud noise.
都舔坏三个手机了
By now you have spoiled three mobiles with your saliva already.
这就是刘春天对爸爸的感情
This is Spring’s affection towards her daddy
这就是女儿对父亲的感情
and this is Spring’s love towards her father.
哪象那个愣头愣脑的拆那
But China，that hothead，
到了北京以后
after arriving in Beijing
其它的没见学多少
time sees it pick up nothing else
牛脾气还见长来
except a rising temper.
就凭这一点
thinking of this，
刘不伟当初就不该把拆那
Liu regrets having taken China
带到北京来
with himself to come to Beijing.

想起安琪就想起了蓝月亮
The thought of Angel reminds me of the blue moon
想起了四个蹄子比雪花还要白嫩的
and the fluffy bunnies in paradise
毛绒绒的小兔子？天堂之上的兔子
with four paws whiter than snow.
白色的兔子？？一只又一只
The snow-white rabbits，one by one，
都戴着眼镜的兔子
all wear the glasses，and they
会把青草变为诗歌的兔子
can turn the fresh grass into poems.
比孩子们假期里关在笼子里
These rabbits are the same size
大不了多少的兔子
as the ones kept in a cage by kids on holiday.
有没有桂花树并不重要
It doesn’t matter whether there is Osmanthus Tree，
有没有吴刚或常娥并不重要
nor does it matter if there is goddess or not.
今天是端午？今天是一个诗人
It is Dragon Boat Festival today，the time when
以诗歌的名义？？用生命
a great poet sacrificed his life，in the name of
为一个国家的国民
poetry，for the whole nation so as to
赢得一天？法定假日的日子
win a statutory holiday for the poetry.
雄黄酒？艾草捆？毛桃枝
Realgar wine，a bunch of wormwood，and wild peach twigs
包在芦苇叶子中的节日
wrapped in the reed leaves，
所有中国人的节日
all the Chinese celebrate
以诗歌的名义过节
it in the name of poetry
用诗歌的眼睛看世界
and read the world through the poets’eyes
你说今天的月亮有多蓝
you see how blue the moon is in the sky today.
其实蓝月亮是躲在
actually，the blue moon is the most beautiful
安琪心底？？最美丽的一首诗歌
